The New Life of Arnold villa

The guests discussed current state Arnoldo villa, a building built in 1860s which was recently proclaimed a cultural monument. All agreed it has a significant historical value, it is close to Vila Tugenhad, but it is almost unknown among public. The guests discussed what purpose shall the building have as the kindergarten that had been there before closed its activities. All the guests agreed that the villa worth saving; however, it would be complicated to gather enough money to keep the building in good condition and operating.

The issue was discussed by deputy mayor of Brno Petr Hladík, deputy of the president of the regional Council of Jihomoravský kraj Martin Maleček, Ondřej Soukup, lecturer in Masaryk University in Brno, Iveta Černá, director of Villa Tugenhad, Petra Svobodová director of Villa Löw-Beer, Miriam Kolářová, deputy mayor in Brno-North, and host of the event was Jaroslav Ostrčilík.
